Method
Long coding + Adaptation
1 · Before you start
Run a full Auto-Scan and save it. Copy the whole long coding string of each module you change, and write down or screenshot each adaptation value before you change it.
2 · VCDS
Write down the current 09 long coding.
Open 09 Cent. Elect. > Coding - 07 > Long Coding Helper.
Coming Home: tick 'Rain-/Light sensor installed' (only if the car has one) and 'Coming-Home active', and set 'Coming-Home Logic (0 = Old / 1 = New)'.
Leaving Home: set 'Coming-Home Mode via (0 = Personalization / 1 = Lightsensor)', tick 'Assistance Driving Light & Leaving Home active', and set 'Leaving-Home Variant (0 = LH in LDS / 1 = No LH in LDS)'.
Save. Then in Adaptation - 10, set the times if wanted: vag-coding.net (Golf 5) lists channel 01 'Coming-Home Time' and channel 02 'Leaving-Home Time', 0-60 s.
Notes
Ross-Tech: results may vary on cars without an 'Auto' headlight switch and rain/light sensor; see the owner's manual for how the feature works. vag-coding.net's no-sensor Leaving Home turns the headlights on at every unlock, day or night, for about 30 s.
