1 · Before you start
Run a full Auto-Scan and save it. This is a reset, so there is no coding to copy.
2 · VCDS
Do the service first.
In VCDS click [SRI Reset]. VCDS reads the cluster's service values (windows opening and closing during this is normal).
From the Operation drop-down choose the reset for your car/region, e.g. 'Service Reset' or '#2 Mileage based Service Reset (USA)'.
Click [Perform SRI], wait for VCDS to confirm, then cycle the key.
Manual alternative: 17 Instruments > Adaptation - 10 > channel 002 'Service Reminder' > save 0. Security Access 13861 may be needed.
Notes
Ross-Tech: if VCDS says the adaptation channels can't be read, check the cluster coding; some cars have no service intervals.
