Long coding

Run a full Auto-Scan and save it. Copy the whole long coding string of 09 Central Electronics (BCM) and keep it somewhere safe.

2 · VCDS

  1. Unlock all doors before connecting.

  2. Select 09 Central Electronics > Coding - 07 > Long Coding Helper.

  3. Byte 0, Bit 2: tick 'Auto-Lock active'.

  4. Alternative from one source only (vag-coding.net): 09 > Adaptation - 10 > Channel 04 'Auto-Lock' > 1 > Save.

Notes

The draft put the adaptation channel first. Only the coding bit is confirmed by 2+ sources, so it is listed first here. The label file also has Byte 0 Bit 0 'Central Locking with Auto-Lock Deactivation active'; no source explains it, so leave it alone. Source coverage: vag-coding.net (Golf 6 5K); SVicksTC (Mk6 GTI); vis4vag (Golf/Jetta 6 PQ36 2010-2014, values masked); vagcode.info label decode (label evidence only).
