Method
Adaptation
1 · Before you start
Run a full Auto-Scan and save it. In 09 Central Electronics (BCM), write down or screenshot the current value of every setting before you change it.
2 · VCDS
Select 09 Central Electronics > Adaptation - 10.
Choose the comfort turn signal channel. The name varies: 'Comfort Turn Signal' (vag-coding.net) or 'Comfort Turn Signals (Cycles)' (SVicksTC).
Enter the number of flashes (maximum 5; SVicksTC says the default is 3) and save.
On 2011+ cars, if the count doesn't change, reset lighting to factory settings in the cluster menu (vag-coding.net path: Settings > Lighting > Factory settings).
What this changes
Low. The cluster-menu 'Factory settings' reset under Lighting may also reset other lighting-menu preferences the owner has set; sources don't say which ones.
Notes
The label file has a coding bit, Byte 16 Bit 0 'Comfort Blinking (Highway Blinking) active'. No source says it has to be changed for this tweak. Ross-Tech: 'Coding or MFA / dash options may apply' in some cases. Source coverage: Ross-Tech 5K (2010+); vag-coding.net (Golf 6 5K); SVicksTC (Mk6 GTI); vis4vag (Golf/Jetta 6 PQ36, values masked).
