Comfort turn signal: number of flashes
COMMUNITY-SOURCED · MK7 · LIGHTING
Changes how many times the turn signals flash after a single light tap of the stalk (factory default is 3).
Applies to
VW Golf Mk7 (5G). Sources give no model years or market.
Not confirmed for
Golf 7.5 facelift, Golf SportWagen/Alltrack, Jetta (any year), Audi A3/S3 8V, Tiguan and other MQB cars
Module
09 Cent. Elect. (Central Electronics / body control module). Ross-Tech wiki (VW Golf VII 5G/AU): save an Adaptation channel map of 09 before changing anything; from about MY2018 many 09 modules show all-zero Coding and changes are made in Adaptation; some newer models need the hood open because of a diagnostic firewall.
Method

Login (security access)

1 · Before you start
Run a full Auto-Scan and save it. In 09 Cent. Elect. (Central Electronics / body control module), write down or screenshot the current value of every setting before you change it.
2 · VCDS
Open address 09 (Cent. Elect.) and save an Adaptation channel map first so you can undo changes.
Security Access (16): enter 31347.
Adaptation (10): choose 'Turn signal control-Komfortblinken Blinkzyklen'.
Set the number of flashes you want (factory 3) and save.
If nothing changes, reset the lighting settings in the infotainment (Factory settings > Lighting). This also resets ambient-lighting settings.
Notes
Sources disagree on the allowed range (1-5, 2-5, or '3 or 5'); all three accept 5.
