  2. Adaptation - 10, channels in the 'Acknowledgement signals' group:

  3. 'Unlock acoustic feedback' > Yes

  4. 'Lock Akustische Rückmeldung' > Yes

  5. 'Akustische Rueckmeldung global' > active

  6. 'Menuesteuerung Akustische Rückmeldung' > active

  7. 'Duration of the acoustic feedback from the single horn' > normal or kurz (short)

  8. Cars without a factory alarm only: 'Akustische Rückmeldung Signalhorn' > active

  9. If there is still no chirp, turn on audible confirmation in the car's menu (CAR > Opening/Closing)

Notes

The second source (pdfcoffee 'VCDS Coding List') is an unattributed, machine-translated copy of a German Golf 7 list, so it is weak corroboration. The source labels mix English and German and use both 'Rueckmeldung' and 'Rückmeldung'; match whatever your VCDS shows.
