The fuel pump control module in the factory harness is designed to power only the original low-pressure fuel pump that came with the vehicle.
Aftermarket high-capacity in-tank fuel pumps tend to consume more current than the factory control module was intended to provide.
To address this issue, this is a Plug and Play harness that includes a secondary ground, which must be connected to the factory ground bolt location in the C pillar.
This additional grounding will prevent overheating when using the OEM fuel pump wiring with larger high-pressure fuel pumps.
